The bridal consultation and trial are essential elements of the makeup process and recommended to all brides to be.

An entirely bespoke appointment, for Helen to gain a global understanding of the wedding day, with the objective to create a makeup that will compliment the bride, and her day as a whole.

Helen works with her brides to achieve a look that is both photogenic and also stunning in person. A makeup that feels comfortable on the skin, and is both long lasting and personalised to the wearer.

"On her wedding day a bride should still look like herself, but at her most beautiful!"

Trials take place in daylight to achieve the most realistic impression of the wedding day look, and Helen is available for trials on weekdays and at selected weekend dates throughout the year, from her home address in Maidstone in Kent.

Brides are asked to bring along, or send in advance: examples of their colour scheme, and pictures of hairstyles, wedding dress and flowers, alongside other images for inspiration. A neutral or white coloured t-shirt or blouse is suggested to correspond with the colour of the wedding gown.

The trial includes options for both airbrush and traditional makeup.

False eyelashes may be added to optimise photographic appearance and enhance the shape of the eye at an additional cost- further information regarding false eyelashes can be found below.

Helen will arrive as early as required on the wedding day, and will aim to finish in plenty of time; usually one hour before the ceremony, to allow her brides time to change into their dress, possibly have a few images taken, and in most cases enjoy a well deserved glass of Champagne!

Timings are dependant on style of makeup, but as a general rule 1 hour for bridal makeup and 45 minutes each for other members of the wedding party, with 30 minutes at the end of this for finishing touches and lipstick application, is an ideal schedule.

She is lucky enough to have had experience in working within many different and fabulous venues, and also frequently from client's houses. No space is too big or too small, but for best results it is best to have a room with plenty of natural daylight.  Travel is included within 20 miles of her home address, with weddings outside this distance just incurring a small additional fee.

Helen is able to work alongside hairstylists, photographers, videographers and other suppliers, so that the morning runs smoothly and without complication. A rota will always be provided in advance of all bookings.

She also able to bring along an assistant artist for larger wedding parties, to reduce preparation time if needed or preferred, at an additional charge of which further details can be found below.
